
TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
DO NOT touch your tattoo with dirty hands. Make sure to wash
your hands with antibacterial soap before proceeding
1. Remove bandage after 3-6 hours. DO NOT re-bandage.
2. Gently rinse your tattoo using only your fingertips and an antibacterial hand soap
from a pump. Make sure that it is a fragrance free soap. When you are rinsing your tattoo,be sure to remove the “gooey” layer off of your tattoo. ( this layer is normal, it is acombination of your body’s plasma and ointment. )
3. Gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean paper towel.
4. Allow your new tattoo to air dry approximately 30 minutes, making sure to pat off
any secretions before applying ointment. It is important to remove any oozing fluids
EVERY TIME you apply ointment to your tattoo!
5. After your tattoo has stopped oozing, apply a thin layer of the brand of ointment
recommended by your artist. it is import and to keep your tattoo LIGHTLY moistened
until it begins to peel. ( 3-7days. )
*Wash and lubricate your tattoo 2 or 3 times daily.

* When your tattoo begins to peel, stop using ointment and switch to an odorless
colorless skin lotion for the duration of your healing process. ( Curel, Eucerin, Lubriderm )
* DO NOT pick any scabs or peeling skin from your tattoo as it heals.
* Make sure to ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your new tattoo.
* DO NOT soak tattoo until after it has completed peeling. This means no pools,
hot tubs, saunas, lakes, ponds, ect.
* Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for the first 7 years, but if you must,
make sure your tattoo is completely healed first, and ALWAYS use a high SPF
( 45 or higher) sunblock.
*. DO NOT put anything on you tattoo unless its recommended by your artist
during the healing process.
*. No two people heal exactly the same, so use common sense and ask YOUR artist
immediately if you have any questions.
